YCYH Terms and Conditions 2024
Application & Pricing
The price includes full board accommodation, travel from York to Whithaugh Park and back to York, and most activities. Where additional costs are incurred, due to the activities chosen for the week, then additional costs will be made known at the time of booking.
Booking Procedure
We cannot accept any booking unless a minimum deposit of £50 is made at the time of booking.
Cancellation
In the event the camps have to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, or unforeseen circumstances arising beyond our control, we agree to return to you any fees already paid.
Safety
Any specialist activities undertaken will only take place under the supervision of fully qualified instructors. Whilst every effort will be made to have qualified staff available, we reserve the right to withdraw any activity if safety standards cannot be guaranteed. All recommended safety equipment is always worn.
Behaviour
It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to advise us in advance of any disabilities, social or behavioural problems that their child currently has, or has recently experienced, which may affect them or other people during the holiday.
We operate a behaviour policy to which all young people must agree before the start of the holidays.
Further details of our behaviour policy can be found at ‘YCYH Behaviour Policy’
Part of this includes a strict no-smoking policy. Under no circumstances during the holiday should any person be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, except for medical reasons. In the event of a serious incident we reserve the right to send a child home. This will be the responsibility of the parent/carer to collect their child at their own expense. Parents/carers will also be required to pay for any deliberate and wilful damage caused by their child.
Insurance
YCYH and all guests are covered for public liability. Guests are not, however, insured against personal accident or injury as a result of an accident, or loss of possessions. We therefore suggest those who feel that additional insurance is necessary make their own arrangements.
Safeguarding Policy
We have a Safeguarding Policy which aims to promote good practice by our leaders so that children and young people can safely take part in all our programmes. All leaders are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service.
Photographs and Video
YCYH would like to take photographs/video recordings of your child during the course of YCYH events in 2024 for promotional purposes. These images may appear in our printed publications, video publications and our website/Facebook page or other social media. Please contact us if you do not want your child to be photographed/videoed. We cannot take responsibility for any photographs/video recordings that are put onto social networking sites by guests on the holidays.
