About YCYH

York Christian Youth Holidays (YCYH) is a charitable voluntary organisation where our aim is simply to share the gospel with young people aged 8-18, and equip them for Christian living through our Xcite and Xplore holidays, ReGenerate events and Taskforce training programs.

YCYH purposely keeps its costs to minimum, and we rely on gifts and donations from churches, to enable more children and young people to attend who would otherwise be unable to because of financial pressures.

The organisation is non-denominational and financially self-supporting.

YCYH recognises the importance of its work with children and young people, and its responsibility to protect everyone entrusted to our care.

We therefore have developed and operate a Safeguarding Policy, which is registered with Thirtyone:eight. We are committed to ensuring that all leaders who work with children and young people for YCYH have undergone a Disclosure & Barring Service check at enhanced level, are adequately trained and supervised, understand our Safeguarding Policy and will follow the Standards of Working Practice.

A behaviour policy and agreement, that all children and young people must sign and adhere to, is included as part of our safeguarding procedures.
