Prayer Diary

INTRODUCTION

This summer, over 225 people will be involved with our holidays at Whithaugh Park. We really do need your prayers that the young people going would hear about Jesus and respond to Him in a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment.

The following is a guide and works on a weekly cycle for the 6 weeks prior to the holidays, and for the weeks themselves at Whithaugh Park.

SATURDAYS - SAFETY

Dates: 14th, 21st, 28th June; 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th July; 2nd, 9th August

• For the travelling during the week.
• On all outdoor activities such as canoeing, climbing, gorge walking, paint balling, raft building etc.
• For good health and protection from illness.
• For spiritual safety, particularly protection against enemy attack.

SUNDAYS - CAMPERS

Dates: 15th, 22nd, 29th June; 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th July; 3rd August

• That no-one would be homesick.
• That there would be no personality clashes, and that no-one will feel isolated.
• That the group would gel, and the young people would be supportive of each other.
• That everyone will have a great holiday.

MONDAYS - EVANGELISM

Dates: 16th, 23rd, 30th June; 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th July; 4th August

• For clear, faithful explanation of the gospel from leaders, in morning quiet times & evening meetings.
• That everyone would learn about the love of God, and the importance of living God’s way.
• The right atmosphere for young people to respond, in a safe environment, without emotional pressure.

TUESDAYS - RELATIONSHIPS

Dates: 17th, 24th June; 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th July; 5th August

• For good relationships, positive humour and an atmosphere of openness and trust.
• That the young people would respect leaders and each other, and there would be no behaviour issues.
• For wisdom and good leadership, when dealing with young people, particularly over discipline.

WEDNESDAYS - LEADERS/TASKFORCE

Dates: 18th, 25th June; 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th July; 6th August

• That the leaders/taskforce would work well together, support and encourage each other.
• That the leaders/taskforce would be good role models in their lifestyle and conduct.
• That all leaders/taskforce would grow in their faith as they serve.

THURSDAYS - CHANGED LIVES

Dates: 19th, 26th June; 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st July; 7th August

• For lasting responses where children/young peoples' lives are radically changed.
• Effective discipleship of new Christians.
• That children/young people would have enthusiasm and energy to make a difference, and be eager to have fellowship and support from other Christians.

FRIDAYS - OUR ORGANISATION

Dates: 20th, 27th June; 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th July; 1st, 8th August

• Praise God, for his continued faithfulness towards us.
• For God's guidance, and ultimately that he would be glorified through our service for him.
• For increased support amongst churches and organisations towards our holidays, programs and events.
• That our financial needs will be met, as we continue to grow and develop our ministries.
