Review... Plans |
Praise God! It's been amazing to see God at work through YCYH, and we
continue to thank Him for His guiding hand upon our ministry.
This year we have held 3 'RUup4it' events with a total of over 300 young
people attending. It has also been encouraging to see more church youth
groups attending these events. We have formalized a good committee to
oversee this work, and many plans have been made for future RUup4it
events.
At the end of March, we ran another 'Living the Life' weekend for
17-18 years olds. It was a brilliant weekend of fun and fellowship,
where the young people received teaching from Andrew Sach (Oakhill
Theological College, London).
For a number of months, we have been working towards Whithaugh Park
2006. This year for the first time, we will be running 2 weeks at
Whithaugh Park. God has directed us down this path, and has amazed
us, as this year 140 young people & 61 leaders will be involved.
New things will be happening this year including activities such as High
Ropes Course & Bridge Building. Apart from doing great activities, we
want to get alongside these young people, share, and encourage them
spiritually to know Jesus Christ, through the morning quiet times,
evening meetings, and discussion events. The teaching this year is
looking at the life of Jesus through Mark's gospel.
It is so exciting seeing all the openings that God has clearly given
us. As well as your prayers, we do rely on financial support to make
our work sustainable.

Let's Pray |
As we prepare for Whithaugh Park 2006 Sat 22nd - Sat 29th July (Wk1)
& Sat 29th July - Sat 5th August (Wk2), we would really value your
prayers. Our desire is that all the young people going would hear
about Jesus and respond to Him in a safe and fun environment.
There are a number of ways in which you can support us in prayer.
One way is through our
prayer diary.
Another way is to meet and pray together with a group on a number
of week day lunchtimes (See Diary Dates). During the time we are at
Whithaugh Park, there will be specific items for prayer, as daily
reports will be sent to Keith Murray. If you can't make it everyday
you will be able contact him on 01904 427091 or email on
keith_and_maud@hotmail.com, to find out the latest prayer issues.
