Facebook is great, isn't it? It's a brilliant way to keep in touch with old friends and to see what people are up to. And for me, living 250 miles away from most people that go to camp, it is also a good way to keep in touch with new friends made in the summer.
However, if someone you don't quite know adds you as a friend (or you don't want to let them have access to certain parts of your life) you have the opportunity to reject their friend request. You can even remove someone from your list if you want to, or ignore them if they chat to you and you don't want to chat back (I hasten to add that I have never done these things, honest!).
In my list of Facebook friends I have Diego Maradonna! I have never met the great ex-footballer, but we are now 'friends' through FB. My request to be friends with current Reading FC legend Kevin Doyle is as yet unanswered though...
Jesus also has a Facebook account, and it is open to anybody! All you have to do is ask to be his friend and he will never reject you, never remove you from his list, and never ignore you. Only you can make the commitment to be friends with Jesus now though. He has already asked and waits for you to ask him.
There's a contemporary song that is my favourite called
Find A Way To My Heart
which has the lines:
Find a way to my heart, and I will always be with you
From wherever you are, I'll be waiting
I'll keep a place in my heart, you will see it shining through
So find a way to my heart, and I will, I will follow you
Mathew 7, 7-8 says; "Keep on asking, and you will recieve what you ask for.
Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be
opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds.
And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
If you haven't added Jesus to your Facebook account yet, what are you waiting for? Another invitation?
If you want to chat about any of this you can contact me at
