Leader Profile - Becki Dean

Ant and Becki Dean

When or where were you born?

1976 in Harrow NORF LARNDAN

How did you get involved with YCYH?

I was Youth Worker for York Community Church and it kind of went with the territory

How are you involved with YCYH?

Currently a fairly useless member of the Leadership Team.

How does an average week look for you?

Feed my son, burp my son, change my son, listen to my son scream, put my son to sleep. repeat x 45

What do you do for fun?

Watch episodes of Scrubs on DVD & play the piano one-handed.

Tell us about your last holiday?

I went to the Dordogne region of France with my hubby and my fat stomach. It rained almost non-stop and my hubby still wanted me to swim in theunheated outdoor pool with him. I refused. We watched DVDs on my lap top and saw caves. It was relaxing. We saw the Montgomerys too. That was cool

What's your most embarrassing moment?

Sitting at my cousin's wedding on a table with my Dad who heckled all the speeches.

Any special abilities / party tricks / bizarre or amazing achievements?

I can bend my fingers a long way back and survive for conisderable amounts of time without sleep!

What was the last movie you saw and what did you think of it?

Saw Pride & Prejudice - the Keira Knightley version. Thought that I'd looked better in the dresses than her. Swooned a little over Mr Darcy but then again I'm female so it was the effect the directors were hoping to have.

What was the last album you bought?

Bought? Don't know. Got given? Robbie Williams Intensive Care.

Favourite funny moment?

When my brother put out the flambéed Christmas pudding with a can of Squirty Cream. You had to be there.

Favourite 'meaningful' moment?

Standard ones...When my husband propsed. Wedding day. Birth of my baby. Less obvious.. a certain Task Forcer's Bible study on the 2005 camp. It made me realise how much the Holy Spirit can reveal to people about God things that they haven't been taught.

Anything else you'd like to share / add?

I miss Peanut Butter and I want it back in my life.
